Nama' is a new music endeavour, closely related with songs and pieces composed in the 'Ethnic Fusion' music style. plus the power of 'Ragas' & devotional 'Bhajans' chanting.
Lyrics are in a variety of languages: Sanskrit, English, Spanish, Hindustani music notation system and vocal percussion, Portuguese, etc
'Nama' means basically 'name'; its origin is Sanskrit, and it refers to the sacred name ascribed to any aspect of Divinity.
Rik Hambra leads this project as a Singer/Composer/Producer, featuring Harmonium, Tabla, Ghatam, Dholak + percussion set.
Other guests enrich 'Nama' with the sounds of Tampuras, Harmonium, Guitars, Keyboards and digital programing, + more percussion, voices and handclapping.

In Ethnic Fusion Songs & Ragas, songs and music compositions are written in different languages as well as music techniques, that come from a variety of music cultures: Asian, European, Latino, Mideastern, North and South American, etc.
In our concerts, it's our intention to reflect that music can be a possitive vehicle of interaction and understanding between people and cultures, as well as of joy and fun
